The palate is silky and crystalline with nice density of pear and white peach fruit and a refreshing mineral character that will make it a great food pairing.
Vigneron Jean Montanet’s time working with Raveneau in Chablis comes home to roost with this wine. It’s a 100% Chardonnay from Vezelay – the vineyard is surrounded by forest and set on old fossil-filled limestone. Lots of biodiversity around. A thoughtful producer taking time to produce wines of great expression and purity. This wine was bottled in March after spending approximately six months in vats. It has a liveliness and freshness that is very appealing for such an elegant wine.
