This is an ultra pure, low alcohol expression of Muscadet loaded with free flowing minerals, citrus, iodine and salts beside lovely crunchy appleskin, lime leaf and crab apple fruit notes.
This cuvée derives its name from the greenish, metamorphic bedrock (amphibolite) that dominates the soils in which it is grown. Nature is used in the sense of 'naked', i.e., nothing at all is added so you get only the pure, unadulterated expression of the soil. Produced from vines aged 25-40 years old, this unique wine is vinified with only a short time on its lees, as Jo wants to retain as much freshness and minerality as possible, and with only minor doses of sulphur to block the malo. Bottling occurs early, in February, again to retain the essence of the wine, without filtration.
