Located in Tassorolo in Piedmont, Bergaglio's vineyard comprises of just 5 hectares growing only one grape, Cortese, the native grape variety of Allessandria, which thrives in the hills between Novi and Tortona in Piedmont close to Liguria. The grape is so successful in Gavi that it is known locally as Cortese di Gavi.
