Ciello Bianco Catarrato, Sicily Italy £10

Nights harvesting and modern temperature-controlled fermentations result in a bright, fresh, fruity wine. This fragrant, crisp Catarratto has a velvety texture and a pleasant trace of almond on the finish. ORGANIC

 

Chateau de Saint-Cyrgues Blanc, Rhone France £12

Scents of rose petals, honeycomb, candied lemon and white pepper. On the palate, notes of honey and sweet spice leading to a lingering and spicy finish. Roussanne, Viognier and Grenache Blanc. ORGANIC

 

Chateau Deville Entre deux Mers, Bordeaux France £14

Light nose of apples and pears with a hint of citrus. Superb acidic balance and lingering dry finish. A blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc.

 

Folle Blanche Luneau-Papin, Loire France £16

This dry white wine is 100% Folle Blanche, or Gros Plant, a variety used in the Nantais to produce a very dry white with good acidity similar to Muscadet or Picpoul from the Languedoc.

 

Elsassisch is BOMBISCH Riesling Domaine Binner £19

To put Bombisch on the palate is to put an easy wine with a very high degree of drinkability, on the fruity and salty side as we like them. Itmay look odd, cloudy, oxidized, ... but the bottle will quickly empty with its palatability and beautiful minerality. BIODYNAMIC

 

Red  

Bobal Tharsys, Valencia Spain £10

Intense, clean nose. Hints of ripe cherries and red berries, with a slight touch of toffee and vanilla. Initially balanced and fruity. A wonderful structure, with gentle, well-blended tannins. ORGANIC

  

Marchese di Borgosole Salice Salentino, Italy £12

A hand crafted Negroamaro and Malvasia blend, cask aged. Silky, chocolately and spicey. Elegant ripe red fruits, some raisin notes and velvet tannins.

  

Bodegas Petit Pittacum Mencía, Bierzo Spain £14

A nose of blackberries, strawberries and glace cherries. On the palate, fresh and juicy with expressive red fruit flavours. The tannins are discreet and the finish lingering and bright. ORGANIC

  

Domaine Chapoton Cairanne Rouge, Rhône France £16

Colour purplish on the edge. Velvety mouthfeel yet underpinned with deep layers. Some ripe tannin, liquorice, bayleaf, pepper, spice. Natural winemaking, manual harvest, a blend of Grenache and Syrah. ORGANIC

 

Natalino del Prete Il Pioniere, Puglia Italy £19

Old vines of Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera. Medium-full and rustic, with deep black plummy fruits, licoricey spice, and cigar box. ORGANIC

 

Rosé

Volubilia Gris Domaine De La Zouina, Meknes Morocco £12

Pale in colour with a fresh, aromatic nose. Delicate, ripe peach and floral notes. Elegant and serious. This charming wine has a refreshing minerality. Mourvedre, Caladoc ( Malbec and Grenache) and Marselan.

 

Sparkling

Ancre Hill Estates Pet-Nat, Wales UK £20

  Nicely crazy lightly sparkling red, with a sour cherry and red fruit jam nose, that plays out on the palate too, with a slightly herbal back-note. It reminds us of a light Lambrusco Rosso. BIODYNAMIC

 

Orange 

Pol Opuesto, El Otro Lado Torrontes, Mendoza Argentina £26

100% Torrontes. Intense orange wine full of tropical fruit flavours, apricots, pithy citrus fruit and dry tannins. ORGANIC

Orders to be placed by Wednesday midnight for Friday delivery or by Sunday midnight for Tuesday delivery. There will be a new list every week.
