The palate is pure and full of the vibrant aromas of summer fruits, all cherries, raspberries and blackcurrants, blended together in a juicy summer pudding. There is a gentle lick of ripe tannin, just lending it a little backbone, assisted by some fresh acidity and a wonderful vivacity.

The Verdier-Logel Gourmets is from the estates oldest Gamay vines, grown on granite terroirs on the slopes of the Massif Centrale, west of Lyon near the upper reaches of the Loire river.
